"Life itself is the greatest fairy tale!"
Since 1997 , I have worked in a variety of ways to bring magic and fairy tales to everyday life. I’ve conjured up worlds, conjured up stories, made paintings, written and illustrated books, created clothing collections and magical fabrics, slid magnificent fairy tale paintings on the walls… done everything fabulously impossible.
There is a lot of colour and sparkle in my visual art and murals, because that is the natural magic of the world: the snow glitters, as does the morning dew, the babbling forest stream – and the sweet look of a little fairytale-eyed child.
Not just images or technique – but feeling, courage and the opportunity to imagine differently. Every line, every colour and every brush stroke with its fairy tale characters tells a wonderful story.
I create moments where imagination and reality meet, conjuring up something that cannot be explained or even really seen. That’s why you can’t just look at the fairytale world I created – you have to experience and feel it, no matter who or what you are.
TTime and magic dust belong to everyone who still dares to dream and see through fairytale eyes.
CATALOGUES OF WORKS OF FAIRY TALE ART-1997-2025
A fairy tale and adventure for a lifetime, when you really wonderfully realize it!

Storyboards
The storyboards are original works by fairy tale artist Petronella Grahn, which combine storytelling and visual enchantment. The versatile techniques – watercolour, charcoal, ink and acrylic – give each piece its own atmosphere. Often the works are also framed, which emphasizes their finished and timelessly captivating look.

Murals
Pomenia's murals reflect Petronella Grahn's artistic vision and tell stories from a fairytale world. Each mural space is a huge, unique entity that invites the viewer to a magical adventure. Since 2001, these works have been conjured up in different parts of Finland – always into a world of their own.

Ceramics
Each ceramic figure has its own story – full of details, expressive characters, and fairytale-like magic. The hand-shaped and painted figures bring warmth and playfulness to their surroundings, bringing fairy tales to life in homes and collections. Many of the characters are familiar from the illustrations and murals of Pomenia storybooks around Finland. In these works, silliness and joy dance freely, cherishing the power of imagination and the enchantment of fairy tales.
