Pomenia’s colours and stories are equally alive in fabrics and clothes.
I’ve always believed that patterns can tell stories and that colors can evoke emotions just like words.
I founded Tinttu.com already in 1997 – for the love of crafts, stories and the fact that children have the right to dress playfully and freely.
It grew into an entire fairy tale and design world that combined art, story and practicality.
Over the years, my handprint has also been visible in licensing collaborations with well-known Finnish design companies, such as Karto, Ommellinen and Ehta by Dream Circus.
I’ve been able to see how Finnish fairy tales and design can go hand in hand – and conquer hearts around the world.
I have designed well over a hundred patterns, both for clothing and interior design.
They are characterized by a rich color scheme, richness of detail and three-dimensional depth.
There is no one similar – each fabric is its own little story, its own world.
They are drawn from the heart, from the core of years of skill, sensitivity, and storytelling.
The fabrics are suitable for both clothing and interior design, and they are made in Europe from Oeko-Tex certified materials.
They are safe for the skin, environmentally friendly and, above all, beautiful to use.
All design takes place in Finland, and it is characterized by my own motto:

For me, Fairytale Design is not just a brand – it’s a way of life, a way of thinking and a promise that colour and magic are part of everyday life.
I’ve always wanted to create the kind of beauty that stands the test of time and tells a story.
One that reminds us that colours, shapes and imagination have the power to change the day, the mind and the world.
Every fabric, pattern and detail is made out of a love of story and magic.
They were created to encourage people to see the world through fairytale eyes – to remember that joy, joy and warmth are not childishness, but the most beautiful forms of life.
In the spring of 2025 , I released my first independent fabric collection:
“A Pinch of Magic Dust – A Puff of Magic Fairy Dust.”
It leads pattern lovers straight to the world of Pomenia – where colours rejoice, stories whisper magic in every shade and pattern.
Fairytale Design by Petronella Grahn is an invitation to stop for a moment and notice that magic dust is still here – in everyday life, in fabrics and in all of us who dare to dream.
The magic continues in collaboration collections
Together with Finnish design companies, products are created in which the world of Pomenia takes on a new form – in clothing, everyday life and joy. Implemented licensing partnerships in 2018-2024, e.g. EHTA by Dream Circus, Ommellinen, Wool and Yarn
We are open to cooperation in licensing collaborations and look forward to bringing our fairytale world into new and exciting projects.
